History

Tymal Wildwander’s story began not with the clang of gears or the hum of invention, but in the quiet turning of pages. Born into a loving gnome family, he stood apart from his kin, showing little fascination for the gadgets and gizmos that so often defined their craft. Instead, he lost himself in books with the tales of distant lands, forgotten magics, and the boundless spirit of adventure. Recognizing his unusual spark, his parents apprenticed him to the village scholar, where his innate magical talents first began to bloom.

When the village’s teachings could no longer satisfy his thirst for knowledge, Tymal journeyed to the sprawling city of Sable. There, amid towers of stone and libraries brimming with secrets, he entered the prestigious Mages Guild, earning citizenship and a place among the mysterious Crow lodge.

Amid the crowded streets and hidden alcoves of Sable, Tymal’s destiny entwined with that of Lilium, a ranger whose fierce independence mirrored his own. Together they shared adventures and adversities, forging a bond that led to marriage and the sacred ceremony of the bloodoath: a joining of life, spirit, and purpose.

Yet even the deepest vows can unravel. Without warning, Lilium left behind only a letter: she had chosen to remain in Mortis' realm, claiming that Tymal was not enough. Betrayed and grieving, Tymal faced an agonizing truth, that if he wished to move forward, he had to let go. At Kleiburn’s auction, he severed the bloodoath, cutting away the last remnants of a love that had abandoned him. Though sorrow marked him, it also refined him, leaving behind a heart tempered by pain and strengthened by resolve.

Though surrounded by magi, Tymal’s heart never beat for the sterile practices of wands and formal spellcraft; his spirit yearned for something wilder, something more alive. Seeking purpose anew, Tymal first pursued the path of a templar under Karahd, with exploration as his cause. But it was duty, not passion, that drove him then, and the fire within him smoldered without truly catching. It was only later, when he embraced the creative spirit burning inside him, that he found his true calling. On Sojourn 22, 513, he formally joined the Templars Guild, pledging himself to the cause of poetry and song.

Tymal’s journey would not end there. His ideals of freedom, of creativity, of embracing the joyous unpredictability of existence, called him to even greater endeavors. Alongside kindred spirits, he became one of the founding members of the Clan Flux, a gathering of those who saw chaos not as destruction, but as a vital, positive force for change.

Even as he embraced the beauty of chaos, he joined the ranks of the Justicars, sworn to uphold fairness and accountability across the land. Though many saw law as rigid and unyielding, Tymal uniquely embraced the harmonic of chaos within his role wielding justice not to crush change, but to defend it. In a world often fearful of disorder, he became a rare bridge between freedom and fairness.

Tymal's voice, too, grew louder beyond the battlefield. His passion for words and truth found a home in the halls of the Sablean Times, where he accepted a position of Senior Correspondent, using his gift for storytelling to chronicle the struggles, triumphs, and transformations of the world around him.

Tymal's cause as a Templar is that of Poetry and Song. He has published several poetic works and organized showcases for songs he wrote, performed in collaboration with bards. He’s also hosted poetry contests, fostering creativity within the realm, and demonstrating his commitment to his cause through these artistic endeavors.

Personality

Tymal is a joyous figure with an infectious giggle, embodying a unique blend of staunch loyalty and a carefree embrace of chaos. Unconcerned with the traditional dichotomy of good and evil, he finds companionship among a diverse array of individuals and sees the tenets of Silvanus, the god of wild nature, in every facet of life. His approach to life is marked by a remarkable sense of humor and a philosophical outlook, viewing chaos not as mere disorder but as a creative, shaping force. This combination of a light-hearted demeanor, unwavering loyalty to friends and church, and a deep reverence for the natural world makes Tymal a captivating and multifaceted person to know.

Religion

Tymal was a proud Adherent of the church of Silvanus until the year 528 when Torm defrocked him of his standing in the church. He was the church's Evangelist, resigning after the divine audience in 516 for his humiliation to the realm after asking his question to Silvanus. In the year 533, Tymal earned Worshipper status once again. Nature has been an inspiration to many of Tymal's poems. He is very proud that one of his accomplishments is having placed atop his tier in the divine favor competition multiple times.

Clan

Tymal is a founding member, a Visionary, of the clan, Flux. With Tippet, Severo and Thykk, he agreed to become their clan mate and face adventure in their company! Flux is founded on the principles of fostering positive change through chaos actions and spontaneous kindness. Flux's mission is to explore the beauty in unpredictability and use it to spread joy, aid, and enlightenment. Flux embraces the unpredictable and benevolent aspects of chaos, promoting freedom and goodness through spontaneous actions and compassionate responses to the world's randomness.

He was once a member of Heroes of the Wild Lands before joining Tippet to form Flux.

Unique Items

The history of Rhapsody's Edge is a tale of artistry and enchantment. This blade was crafted by a renowned swordsmith who was said to have been inspired by the muses of poetry and song. The metal, known for its resilience and luster, was sourced from the depths of a mystical mine, where it was said to have absorbed the echoes of ancient verses sung by the earth itself.

The sword was a commissioned piece for a noble bard, but fate had other plans. Tymal Wildwander, the Bladed Balladeer, stumbled upon the swordsmith's workshop during his travels. Upon hearing Tymal's verses, the swordsmith knew that the blade was meant for him. The pearl at the pommel was a gift from a sea nymph, a token of her affection and admiration for Tymal's respect for the sea and its creatures. It was enchanted to glow in the presence of genuine courage and to amplify the wielder's inner strength.

In the year 533, Tymal asked Mithril Elsinore to reforge Rhapsody's Edge into a sabre, a more befitting weapon of fluid style that Tymal preferred. The master weaponsmith did not disappoint.

Rhapsody's Edge has been Tymal's faithful companion ever since, its blade a testament to the harmony between the warrior's might and the poet's soul. The sword has inspired countless verses and has been a beacon of hope in times of darkness. Its history is not only etched in its steel but also in the songs and stories that Tymal continues to weave with its aid.
