Runatsu the Hamadryad

She appears to be a dryad of indeterminate years, with unblemished skin the
color of alabaster and niveous silken hair reaching her mid-thigh. Her deep-set
blue eyes stand out against striking white eyelashes, pink-tinged lips, and a
diamond-shaped face. She has a willowy build and broad shoulders, wearing a
modest white linen dress beneath a white cloak, paired with simple gray tights,
gray leather boots, and a glossy lavender ribbon tied in a bow in her hair.

She is a female dryad, 5'5" tall, weighing 110 pounds.
She has midnight blue eyes.
She has snow white hair.
She has pale white skin.

Guild

Runatsu joined the now-defunct Fighters Guild at age 15 in the year 300, and was later admitted to the Rangers Guild in 318. She has served as a Ranger for over 200 years and became Guildmaster of the Rangers Guild in 483.

Religion & Axis

Runatsu was a Mortisian for over one hundred years. She is now a Silvanite, having held that faith for many years.

Kylamane has held a deep, lifelong appeal for Runatsu, but the former Goddess returned to Set's realm before Runatsu could devote herself to the Lady of Winter.

Runatsu's primary Axis is a chaos harmonic, with good morality secondary. Prior to the current axis changes, her ethos was neutral. She cares little for the sophistry of good versus evil, preferring the simplicity and equilibrium found within nature.

History

Runatsu's first memories are of the Everwood Forest, far to the northeast at the arctic tree line, where the forest abuts the tundra of the Dragonspine Mountains and the icy northern sea. The Everwood pine trees here were stunted, one-sided, and solitary, shaped by the biting cold and constant wind. Life in this harsh demesne was brutal and unrelenting, marked by long winters, short days, and total isolation. Survival in this land came only through the end of a spear, hunting and fishing for food, furs, and materials.

An unknowable time later, she encountered human travelers and accompanied them to their settlement. There, she was adopted into a human family. Among them, she learned to read and write, studying mathematics and natural philosophy, which sparked a strong thirst for knowledge. After some time, she departed and wandered south to the Kingdom of Sable, seeking the learning and expertise of the rangers and furthering her own pursuit of scholarship.

Clan

Runatsu has joined many clans over the years, including Clan Saradia, the Wayfinder Expedition, and the Enlightened Brotherhood. She is currently a member of The Heroes of the Wild Lands (HOWLS).

Home

Runatsu built the Sablean Botanical Garden on Glamis Crossroad 9 (Glamis9), which is free and open to the public.

The garden's mandate is conservation and education. It seeks to provide a place for the common person to experience and commune with nature, raise awareness, and resist efforts to expand and consume the natural world. Its goal is to maintain current borders and city limits while carving out a space for nature in the heart of the city.

The gardens are expansive, featuring a greenhouse, alpinarium, orangery, rockery, arboretum, tea garden, public barbecue area and patio, and several other notable features.

There is an athenaeum containing books on former religious scripture, legal texts, ancient history, ranger journals, and more.

She lives in a treehouse she built within the boughs of a massive Everwood tree located in the arboretum.

Snowdrift Mantle

   This long flowing mantle is crafted with radiant snow white gabardine. The
mantle is ankle-length and is secured at the collarbone with a gleaming round
silver brooch with an effigy of a white raven upon it. The wool is silken and
lustrous, and has been waterproofed using lanolin. The mantle has a shearling
sheepskin lining and silver embroidery surrounds the collar in the likeness of
pine leaves. This mantle would certainly bring great comfort in gelid winters.

the shard of solitude, Wintermute

   Translucent and luminous, this massive shard of selenite is eight feet long
from point to end, and has been cut and polished into a longspear. The crystal
spearhead is a foot in length, possessing the keen sharpness of obsidian, while
lacking its inherent brittleness. Swirling hibernal glyphs have been delicately
engraved along the spearhead and the spearhead has two arched wings at the base
where it joins the grip. The cylindrical shaft of selenite is unadorned, save a
intricate etching within the crystal in a bewildering, complex fractal pattern,
evocative of snowflakes. The spear-butt is wider than the shaft with a helicoid
engraving between them, terminating in an oblate semisphere. A faint blue light
or energy, appears to radiate and pulse from the core of the selenite crystal.
