Throughout the cities of Sable City and Thrace City, the streets can become cluttered with refuse from daily life. As a result, piles begin to accumulate and adventurers inclined to keep the cities clean are invited to collect the garbage and return it to the city dumps.
This activity is newbie friendly and can easily net a newcomer significant sums of coins, not just from finding coins in these piles, but selling the random loot that is generated from them.
Find garbage piles within the city streets, and when you do, typeto clean it up. This may take a number of attempts to finally clean it up. As you do, the pile will grow smaller and its short description will update to reflect this.
If you cannot find any garbage piles, simply use thecommand to get an idea of where to find a garbage pile within the city. The kit will work in both main cities but will only detect garbage in the city in which you presently find yourself.
The clean-up kit can be trashed in any pillar or trashed in any city garbage dump.
Garbage Generation Mechanics
Garbage piles have both levels and stages. As a garbage pile levels up or down, it will meet certain points at which it changes its stage. All garbage piles have stages 1-5. When a garbage pile has reached stage 5 it will no longer grow.
Garbage piles come in three types:
These types determine at what level a garbage pile will change stages. A garbage pile's stage is used merely for aesthetics of the short description of the garbage pile, which changes with each stage.
|type||stage 2||stage 3||stage 4||stage 5|
Once a garbage pile exists, every 15 minutes, just before the spawn process, every garbage pile receives 1 level (4 per hour).
If enabled, the automatic cleanup occurs once per hour and removes 1d3 levels of each garbage pile that exists. Each garbage pile gets its own roll to calculate its diminishment.
