The quit command makes your character leave the game. You will drop any items you are carrying at the time. You cannot quit during combat or when being chased by a foe (especially if it is another player). Using quit (or linkdeath) to escape battle or danger in such a manner is serious cheating.

Dropping Coins

Starting at player level 4 (after you have completed your heritage), you must find a safe room to log off or you will drop your carried coins. Every guild has at least one safe room. You should be able to figure out where it is, but if you cannot, perhaps your guild elders will give you a hint. There are other safe rooms as well.

Storing Equipment

The only way to preserve your equipment is to find a safe place to store it. If you are in heritage, you can take and leave equipment in your heritage training room. Anything other than food that is dropped on the floor will stay there for use by anyone of the same heritage. If you are in a guild, your guild armory is the main place for storing gear. There are other places to store equipment as well, but you must find these yourself (and sometimes pay whatever costs are required). You may also prefer to sell your equipment before logging off. Items you pick up from the heritage rooms though will have no value, meaning you cannot sell them at shops.
