Substitution tokens are used in a variety of player-submitted content such as autoloads, signature items, etc. They are English-language specific and are used to be automatically replaced by the English words that they represent.

When submitting proposals for autoload clothing items, autoload weapons, etc, you will be expected to provide substitution tokens in place of things like your name, your item name, gendered pronouns, etc.

Possessive vs Objective

Be wary of the difference between possessive and objective when you want the viewer (or yourself) to see the word "her," since both POSS/VPOSS and OBJ/VOBJ for female results in "her". As a possessive, the meaning is that the thing belongs to or is in the possession of that individual, whereas the objective is the target of a verb.

For example:

NAME blasts POSS with the WNAME.

Could look like:

King Borgia blasts her with the staff.

Other people might see "your" and "you" depending on their perspective and whether possessive or objective substitution is used. Just be careful is all. Ask someone if you don't know.🤗

Tokens

The following table represents the available substitution tokens and what they mean.

Note: For the purposes of these examples, the name King Borgia is being used as"You" and "Emperor Rendel" is being used as the target.

Substitution Your perspective Target's Perspective Room's Perspective
NAME you King Borgia King Borgia
VNAME Emperor Rendel you Emperor Rendel
POSS your his/her his/her
VPOSS his/her your his/her
SUB you he/she he/she
VSUB he/she you he/she
OBJ you him/her him/her
VOBJ him/her you him/her
WNAME The weapon/item's name, which is not always the short description.
SHORT The item's short description.
