Character history

When you create your character, you select a Heritage. The Heritage you select gives your character background and depth, and determines the course he or she will follow throughout its life.
This does not necessarily have to be seen as a defining attribute of your character, however. Many players select a heritage for their characters only to move past it once they join a guild.
