Dark Thicket

The Dark Thicket is a region north of the Seedsom Plains on the Isle of Thrace. It is a mysterious place filled with beautiful trees and a strange past. Recently discovered, explorers have reported strange creatures and even a few humanoids to have been found wandering there.
Has this place always been there? And if so, what is causing the problems therein. What about the strange occurrences that have befallen at its heart?
