This is a page with information on editing the ThresholdRPG wiki.

Getting Started

While Wiki editing is really easy, it bears looking at some of the documentation that can be found at the GamePedia Help page.

Guidelines

Here are some guidelines for adding and editing wiki pages.

Secret game information is still secret

Please do not add information to the wiki that is generally considered to be secret. If it's the sort of thing you would generally have to ask about to see if it's secret, it probably is, but you can always leave a message on Gesslar's talk page or the Community portal's talk page

Try to be as informative as possible

When posting information on the wiki, fluff doesn't matter, what matters is information. If you create a very basic entry, go ahead and add {{stub}} to the top of it. This will add a add the message that this page is a stub and needs expanding to make it more useful, and it will add it to the stubs category, and others can find these stubs if they're interested in contributing.

Please create a free account

This will help us monitor who's contributing to the wiki. Also, there are achievements!

Categories

Categories group similar pages into, well, a category. These are added at the bottom of a page. Not all pages necessarily should be categorised, however, do when it seems reasonable.

Check the Special:Categories page to see what categories are presently in use. Though, this only shows what categories have pages created for them. You might also find some here, though we try to avoid empty category pages: Special:WantedCategories.

Most of the files that end up here might be command or help files, please see the respective sections below on those.

Templates

You'll find throughout that we have certain things with {{ }}'s in them. These are templates. You can see examples of them and how they are used. When editing a page, there's a section at the bottom to show all templates used. You can click them to read more about them.

Help Files

While it would be nice to have an online repository of all the help files, that is a pretty daunting task. If you feel up to it, take a look at the source file for the Inventory command for inspiration.

Character Pages

If you create character page, that is fine. Please make sure that you include the template {{CharacterPage}} at the bottom of your character page. Also, please only create pages for your own characters.

Clan Pages

It is OK to create a clan page for your clan. Please make sure that you include the template {{ClanPage}} at the bottom of your clan page.

Where to start?

On the left of this page is a link called Contribute Now!, you can click that link to find pages that have been mentioned, but haven't been created yet. Additionally, there's a link to Needs Work! and that is a list of all pages belonging to the {{stub}} category. If you flesh something out and it looks fleshy enough you can remove the stub mention in the page.
