Round to round, battle cards have a chance to proc an ability instead of performing its usual strike action. These abilities may provide a beneficial effect, inflict a harmful effects, heal, or the card may perform some other damaging or positive action.
Effects
An effect is a positive or negative change of state to the card. A positive effect is called a boon while a negative effect is called a status. Some are better suited to dueling while others are better for skirmishing.
Effect | Type | Description |
---|---|---|
Immune | Boon | Cannot receive any status, DoT, or debuff. |
Resilience | Boon | Cannot be struck critically by any ability or swing. |
Stun | Status | Cannot perform any action, even reciprocal actions. |
Daze | Status | Cannot perform any action, even reciprocal actions. Broken early if receives damage. Additional effect of target being unable to perform special actions in the round that daze is broken. May only swing and cannot critical. |
Mute | Status | Cannot perform any spell-casting action while affected, even reciprocal actions. |
Sanction | Status | Cannot receive any boon, healing, or shields. |
Doom | Status | Receive 20% extra damage. |
Curse | Status | Cannot be healed. |
