This command is used to initiate combat with someone or something. From that point on, your hand to hand combat attacks are handled by the game. Special attacks are your responsibility. Combat will continue until you slay your opponent, are slain by your opponent, or someone runs away.
It is not easy to disengage from a battle once you are engaged. Attempting to do so requires ability and physical effort.
