Many adventurers throughout the weapon's history have come to possess Dragonfang. As with all ancient artifacts of legend, no one has been able to claim permanent ownership of the dagger. Some theorize the ancient artifacts have minds of their own.

In [[Crim225-1|Rex vs. Talithia]], Dragonfang was used to convict the latter of the murders of adventurers Salrim and Ruthra. Court documents stated Dragonfang to be a "unique, mystical artifact ... so spectacular that oftentimes their wielder is known more by their possession of the artifact than their own deeds."
