To move into any neighborhood, an adventurer must be a sufficiently
established member of the realm; the system is intended for players who
have shown ongoing commitment. Some neighborhoods carry additional
restrictions:

== Moving in ==

Each neighborhood has a sign-marked entry point. While standing there,
use {{mud|movein}} to begin the residency process. You will be asked to
confirm your choice and to verify your password before the move is
completed.

The cost of moving in can be paid in either coins from your bank
account or in [[ThreshCredits|Tricrowns]], depending on what you have
available. After moving, a cooldown applies before you can move again
— pick your neighborhood thoughtfully.

If you already own a custom-built house elsewhere, you can convert it
to a neighborhood house during the move-in process, provided none of
the rooms are incompatible with conversion. If incompatible rooms are
detected, the system will tell you so and direct you to support.

If you are playing a character of a different "gender" (as a game mechanic concept, see: help gender) than yourself in real life, and you want to engage in relationship or sexual roleplay with someone, you may want to have an OOC conversation with that person so they have an opportunity to consent.

This is completely up to you. There is no pressure from the administration to disclose anything about yourself to anyone. We do know from experience that sometimes people can be upset and feel deceived if the person they are engaging in relationship or sexual RP with is of a different gender or sex than their character. So please bear that in mind.

Some people use the describe command to add to their OOC that they are a genderbender = an old gaming term that at the time of this help file's writing is not known to be considered offensive or a slur.
