All Rangers must create their characters as Warriors. The minimum level to become a ranger is 10/10, but warriors are usually of higher level when they are accepted. To become a Ranger, you must demonstrate a long standing devotion to the natural world (though worshipping Silvanus is not in any way a requirement) and you must possess an [[Axis]] with a Good morality, but your harmonic may be Order or Chaos.

The enlightened are insightful and open-minded. They are able to see the world with great clarity, without attachment to preconceived ideas about people, places, and things.

Also, as religious dogma tends to supersede the mindset of the philosophical nature of our Brotherhood, we do not allow clerics or paladins to be members.

We acknowledge the Gods of the Aether and their superiority over mortals and the importance of the Strength of the Aether. We allow churched and unchurched members as long as they are of proper axis.

We walk a path as our insignia states, devoted to the study of the fundamental nature of Knowledge, Reality, and Existence. Philosophical, Theoretical, Metaphysical. skin marked with a myriad of faded scars. Her thin, niveous hair is neck-length
with a tress of hair aside her right shoulder. She has deep-set dark blue eyes,
silvery eyebrows, pink-tinged lips, oval-shaped face, and a impassive, taciturn
expression. She is tall, for a dryad, with a slender, yet wiry frame with broad
shoulders, an austere, eidolic mien, and an aura of the untouchable about her.

She is a female dryad, 5'5" tall, weighing 110 pounds.
She has midnight blue eyes.
She has snow white hair.
She has pale white skin covered with innumerable faint scars.
She has a tattoo of a sinuous prismatic snake encircled on her neck, a

Sometimes referred to as deathsmiths or necromasters the '''{{PAGENAME}}''' is one of the playable [[Guilds]] in the game [[Threshold]]. Masters of life and death, the necromancers have delved into the secret and arcane arts of understanding the body and all its hidden potential.

While the specific location of the necromancers guild is unknown, it is rumored to be located in [[Sable City|Sable]].

Necromancers are culled from the ranks of the [[Mages]] guild.

==Admission==

To become a Necromancer, you must create your character as a mage. You must also reach at least level 10/10 before you can even consider applying for membership. Necromancers tend to be a little higher level though when they are accepted, as it takes time to prove yourself worthy. As with all special sub-guilds, the quality of your role--playing is the main determining factor in whether or not you will be accepted by the Necromantic Elders.

Once you have met the minimum qualifications, or before that time if you feel certain this is the fate for you, you should seek out other Necromancers and speak to them about their way of life. Be wary, however, as many Necros are very private people that do not welcome strangers into their reclusive lives. If you can convince one to speak to you about their craft, he or she will be able to provide you with a deeper understanding of what it takes to join their cadre.

==Necromancy==

The guild of necromancers is very secretive of their research and specific abilities. They are known for being encased in undead flesh or wrapped to resemble mummies, as well as wearing armor made of bones. The faint smell of rot and decay follows the necromancer wherever he or she goes. The necromancer is the master of their own body, being able to force it to function long after the necromancer should have been killed.

Skilled necromancers have been able to raise the dead and infuse them with a form of pseudo-life, creating all manner of ghouls, skeletons, and zombies. Others will bind souls called from the land of dead in order to submit them to their will. Most of these become incorporeal monsters such as ghosts or wights. The most powerful necromancers can force a soul to inhabit a piece of armor, forcing the spirit to protect the armor's wearer.

Necromancers tend to be ambitious individuals that will seek their goal at all costs. There are very few ethical lines a necromancer won't cross in the name of research. Most necromancers lean towards the [[ethos|evil ethos]] devoting themselves to one of the [[:Category:Evil Deities|dark churches]] such as [[Set]] or [[Gethsemane]]. Others choose to learn mastery of the dead from the source itself and follow [[Mortis]]. However, necromancers are not required to be evil, or to follow Mortis and can come from almost any church or no church at all.

The profane art of necromancy is frowned upon by some people. [[Silvanus|Silvanites]] and [[Rangers]] take particular offense, seeing the art of necromancy as a perversion of life and corruption of the balance of nature. This is why you will never see a ranger and a necromancer partied together. Although theirs is less extreme than the offense taken by rangers and Silvanites, it is very rare for a necromancer to ally themselves with the forces of [[:Category:Good Deities|light]].

Rangers are selected from the [[Warriors]] guild.

All Rangers must create their characters as Warriors. The minimum level to become a ranger is 10/10, but warriors are usually of higher level when they are accepted. To become a Ranger, you must demonstrate a long standing devotion to the natural world (though worshipping Silvanus is not in any way a requirement).

If you meet the minimum requirements, you must then seek out other Rangers as well as the guildmaster of Rangers and speak with them. They will work to determine if you qualify for their guild. They will have duties and tasks you must perform to prove yourself. If you succeed, they will admit you. If you fail, there is no shame, as not everyone who seeks rangerhood can be accepted.

Psions wield such supreme control over mind and body, that they work in almost perfect harmony to generate seemingly impossible results. The psion exerts its will by the mere execution of thoughts, yet the manifestations of these thoughts are far from mere.

The rigors of this control over mind and body are extremely taxing on the body, and require great constitution in order to survive! Further, it requires incredible intelligence and wisdom to properly manipulate mental energy into a usable force.

Psions possess the power to heal their own body, move themselves to other locations with a single thought, and alter the molecular structure of physical items! However, the most frightening power of the psion is its ability to forcefully enter the minds of other beings, and while inside, wreak havoc! Psions can inflict horrendous pain by thrashing the synapses of their victims' brain. If a more direct and physical approach is desired, the psion can excite the molecules of its foe, incinerating the unlucky victim.

This is but a taste of what the psion can do with its thoughts and whims. Truly, Psions must be the best of the best — the superior beings of all guilds, races, and religions (or so psions believe at least!).
